Resurrecting the Minotaur

A man is strong, and strength makes him kind instead of tyrannical.
A man is courageous, not because he lacks fear but because he conquers fear.

Great quote and accompanying illustration here. It has a subconscious quality to it.

Lovely work- is this pastel? I also like the warm pallette you work in! Reminiscent of Chagall's work...I am inspired by your use of quotes- so often for me my images come from words- and I try to resist that for some reason.

Thanks everyone!

Apple-green: This is a watercolor. Thanks for your comment. Though it is totally unintentional, I don't mind being compared to Chagall!

hi! You asked about my Calvino escape piece- I was reading "Cosmicomics"- a collection of short stories with scientific theories/elements as jumping off points. I recommend it.

I've got something like that sitting on my head at the moment, though it's not quite so colourful. :o/ Evocative and beautiful as always Alex. :o)
